Our Design Process

 During the initial phone conversation,  one of our certified professionals will reach out and speak with you to better understand the scope of your project, as well as your budget. this will enable us to provide expert advice while factoring in your design and style goals for the project as well.  During this time we will also schedule an in-home estimate. 

Receive an in-home consultation from one of the  knowledgeable professionals on our staff to help you answer questions and make the right choices on your project. We provide in-home cost estimates completely free of charge and will happily work with your schedule to choose a time that is convenient for you.

One of our skilled and certified designers will create a 3D layout of your potential project specific to the measurements and requirements of your space.

In this step we will finalize the terms in our agreement and iron out any changes necessary in order set a start date for your project to begin. In most cases unless otherwise agreed upon this will also require you  to put a down payment of half the total cost of the project as well.

Sit back and relax as your new cabinets are installed by us. As stated in the FAQs, CMD will work with you to create convenient alternatives for you so that you don’t have to move out of your house while the job is being done.

In this stage before and after pictures are taken, and any final questions and concerns that you may have about the project are answered

Stock

In-stock cabinets, also known as RTA cabinets (Ready To Assemble)  are  pre-built cabinet boxes that are made to industry-standard styles and measurements. 

  • They offer limited design choices but their appearance can be elevated by adding accents like cabinet hardware
  • Most people go the stock cabinet route because they are more affordable, this is because they tend use more economical materials 
  • Stock cabinets are shipped in flat boxes and need to be assembled at home 
  • Cabinets built in a factory are stronger and sturdier than ones built at home 

Custom

  • Custom cabinets are specially designed to fit the measurement of your unique space.
  • Tend to be more expensive due to the fact that they are custom made to fit the unique measurements and needs of your space.
  • Custom cabinets are perfect for kitchens with an uneven shape or tricky corners to navigate.
  • They tend to take 4 to 6 weeks for in home delivery due to the fact that they are built to the exact specifications of your space.

Although it depends on the size and type of job, we can safely say that an average custom cabinets job takes between 4  to 6 weeks to remodel. This is all being factored in without including the planning and design phase. On the bright side, 99% of our clients are not required to move out during the installation process, this is done buy offering them creative alternatives to remain in their homes safely while the job is being done.
